I wish you could feel the sting of defeat for once.

  1. Don't worry JP, everyone on their high horse gets their comedown eventually. People who have life too easy go to pieces when the inevitable adversity strikes, whether financial or personal. What is the old saying; 'That which doesn't kill you makes you stronger.' People who know adversity are better able to handle it. I used to be somewhat envious of some people in my younger years, but most of them simply 'peaked' at a young age and went downhill from there lol. Just keep improving yourself intellectually and physically and you are a winner. bfn - Wayne (damn, another snowstorm coming!)

  2. At the same token, there can be people who have gone through enough defeat that they are resilient enough now to withstand it. Wishing defeat on purpose for someone... all I can say is be careful what you wish for. As Wayne said, focus on yourself. A horse's blinders are there for a reason.

  3. Those that do not know defeat cannot fully appreciate success and the fruits that grow from it.

  4. All part of life. Here's a quote from a blog I follow. I have thought about it a lot lately: "For everything you have missed, you have gained something else; And for everything you gain, you lose something else.  It is about your outlook towards life.  You can either regret or rejoice."
