Sam Mikulak

So I was at the gym while the mens gymnastics were on. While team USA didn't have the hottest showing, their members were really hot, especially Sam Mikulak. Damnnnnnnn.

Needless to say, my workout got a nice long break...

Yeah, snarl like you mean it

Damn....

That pretty boy smile....

Guys, he's one fine piece.

Oh, and Britain's Max Whitlock is a cutie.

That's it. Santa, I want a gymnist for Christmas. No "but"s

Oh, and congrats to China's mens team for winning gold for a second Olympics. Gotta represent.

Leo

Watching Titanic on VH1 makes me yearn for the days when Leonardo DiCaprio was young and cute...

When I was little, (aka 5) I thought Titanic was the coolest thing in the entire world, I actually saw it about five times in theaters, I don't know how many times on VHS (remember those?) and my parents would play the sound track in the car whenever we went out for a drive; I was such a loser.
Just do me already!

Don't get me wrong, he's not bad looking now, but he's not one of those actors that seems to be getting hotter with age unfortunately :/

Oh well, I guess I'll just have to stick with Ryan Gosling...
drooling....
....still drooling
Forget Leo, do me now you classy-ass motherfucker!

Now excuse me while I try to collect myself from being all hot and bothered...

Teen Wolf

Nomnomnom

Guilty pleasure of the week: Teen Wolf.

Sci-fi nerdiness, MTV cheesiness, and the abtastic group of Tyler Posey, Tyler Hoechlin, Keahu Kahuanui, and Colton Haynes!?

C'MON!

Sorry I haven't been posting much lately, I've been busy with work and such but I have some ideas for posts lined up and ready to go.

Five Thoughts

1. If dirty blond, hot and ripped UVA guy keeps going to the gym at 10, I might just change my gym schedule to be a hour earlier just so I can drool over him.

Think this, minus the tats. Yeah, he was hot.
 2. Late-night gym observation #2, why are 3/4 of the people at the gym late at night Asian?

3. 14 year old kids trying to rock facial hair and especially a trashy semi porn-stache is not attractive, and no girls (or guys for that matter) finds that appealing.

*gag*
 4. I've put on about six pounds in a little under two months, but while I might have abs, my chest is still lacking. Getting past the "toned" stage is proving difficult. Damn my Asian genes.

5. Breaking up one large transaction into three smaller transactions just so you can get more free aloe vera travel sets just makes you look cheap and manipulative of the system.

Dave

I’m pretty sure I’ve said this before, but straight guys confuse me. Better put, not all straight guys confuse me, but those who leave you guessing their about actions and motivations do.

I’m kinda facing a Déja Vu at the moment; back in high school, Southern Charm confused me, but now there’s a new one who I’ll call Dave. Dave is a guy who lives on my floor and who I also have my Humanities class with. Since we live in separate hallways, I don’t see him too often outside of class, bumping into him between classes or at the dining hall.

So what about him is so confusing? Well, it’something I don’t really enjoy discussing, but it’s the pure gayness of him. I won’t go into too much about all the stereotypical stuff so I’ll just put it as he has so many stereotypically “gay” traits that he made my gaydar almost explode upon first meeting him. The problem is, this has happened many times with a few straight guys I’ve met over the years – Ben and SC for example. But I feel that Dave will likely be another case of my gaydar registering a false positive.

He’s a really nice guy, he’s from the Southwest and is shorter than me, though not terribly short. He swims and joined the crew team and water polo team at my school (btw, I’ve put my rowing career on a hiatus, it’s a bit too intense at my school and there isn’t a club or intramural crew). He has short blond hair and a really cute laugh. He’s also roommates with a really hot guy on the sailing team but that’s irrelevant. Our friend circles overlap somewhat and from I noticed, most of his friends are girls.

I don’t know if I’m really attracted to him, he’s a sweetheart but more friend material than anything. I will say this though, I have caught him stealing glances at me during Humanities and while before we really didn’t talk, we recently have been talking more in the hallways and outside. It’s probably all familiarity related though so I won’t really interpret these as anything beyond just that.

Sorry that my posts have been kinda boring lately but school is back in session so unfortunately that comes with the territory. Tomorrow looks to be fun though, our orientation advisor is having a reunion at his apartment and it’s pretty much going to be a giant pregame session, we might go to the gay club afterwards or just scout around for parties, I don’t know for now. Saturday, my best friend Maria is coming back into the area to visit so we’re having a big day-long date where we’ll be going out to dinner and maybe so partying or go to a club since there aren’t really any around her school. I’m really excited!

The weekend is almost here!

All the best,

JP

Party Time

The last two day shave been quite crazy. With my first (half) week of school over, what’s a college freshman to do? Party.

Friday night was my first true college partying experience and it was a blast. I’m not a real drinker, I mean, I’ve had my share of champagne at parties but before Friday, I’ve never done a shot, had any mixed drink or a whole beer – well, I can now check those three things of my list. I pregamed with my roommate and some of his friends in their dorm and then I ended up joining some other friends and went to a beer pong party at one of the other dorms. I didn’t play but I did have one beer. Afterwards, we left to go to an acapella group party in DC, we got there early so we beat the crowds which turned out to be great for us. I had one drink while there, jungle juice, but we watched them make it so we knew nothing funky went into it. We danced for a while and talked but then we decided to move on. We walked the streets of DC searching for a baseball party but in the end, the police started patrolling the streets so we made our way back to campus, by that time it was about 1:30. We ended up going back to my friend’s room and watched a little bit of Austin Powers, but most of us started falling asleep so we ended it early. Final tally – 1 shot vodka, 1 screwdriver, 1 beer, 1 cup jungle juice.

I never got really hammered Friday, really, I just got pretty tipsy which I don’t intend to go much farther than. Yesterday night was a school sponsored dance in the library which they turned into a dance club. Unlike most people though, I didn’t pregame and stayed sober the whole night. I was having a study session with my friends beforehand (different group) and when they (all girls) began to change, one said “okay, don’t turn around, no free peep shows”, I responded with “um, I’m gay”. The initial silence intimated that they didn’t believe me so I had to reassure them a few times that I actually was which they finally accepted with a smile. Girls always seem to take the whole “I’m gay” thing better than guys for the most part. So before we headed out to the dance one of my friends who took a salsa dancing seminar and taught us a few steps to some Michael Bublé which we later deemed to be too classy for what was to come and we switched to some Ke$ha.

The dance started around 10 and when we showed up the line wasn’t too bad so we got in pretty quickly. The first hour or so wasn’t that good, the DJ wouldn’t shut up for his life but by the second hour things picked up. My friend Maudry introduced me to Hot British Guy (HBG) who was a junior exchange student. On Thursday, they went to a gay club and he ended up dancing with a guy while there. HBG comes from London and he even rowed, plus his accent is damn sexy. When I met him he was dancing with Maudry and he went around group to group with friends from his dorm. I asked him about him going to the club with Maudry and her friends and said to invite me next time, not sure if he got the hint though. But with that he gave me his number and mines to him. Though I was too shy to ask him to dance that night, if we go to the club next time I’ll definitely will try and get a dance out of him. I question if he’s gay or bi though, I mean he seems pretty straight, and Maudry said she doesn’t know either, we both are now at the consensus that he’s probably straight but just very open minded which is just fine by me. He’s too old for me anyways, and hey, if I can just get a few dances out of him, I’ll be perfectly content.

We left the dance at about 2, by then I was exhausted and drenched from almost four hours of dancing. I headed back to my dorm, changed and went to bed. This morning I had a late breakfast and then headed off an activities fair on campus where all the clubs and organizations were present. I’m thinking of joining the fencing club and also the campus pride club; I’ll probably be getting emails about those soon.

Anyways, I hope you’ve had an excellent weekend and I hope you will have a great week.

All the best,

JP

Got His Number ;)

God, I'm exhausted right now, I promise I'll do a full post later but here's a quick sneak peek - in the last two days I've gone through a good set of firsts.

-First college party
-First time pregaming
-First time legit drinking (don't worry, I respected my limits)
-Got a hot British guy's number

I'll explain in full later.

Cheers :D

Cold Weather, Hot Guys

It continues to rain on and on and on here; what I would do for some sunshine and heat right now. Funny thing is, back at home I was about ready to start punching baby foxes if we had another 90+ degree day but now I really miss it.

I’m in Denali National Park now, literally hours away from any major city but nevertheless, it’s pretty (sorry I keep using that tired description, I’m not feeling the urge to consult a thesaurus). But there is good news on the horizon. Tomorrow my boredom streak will hopefully come to an end. I’m going white water rafting for the first time. Maybe choosing a category III and IV run might not be the wisest decision in the world for my first time but hey, it definitely beats having to spend another day sitting in bed watching reruns of CSI and House Hunters. There’s even a part during the two hour ride where you can jump into the river…we’ll see about that. I have no idea what to wear though, especially since I'll probably be soaked by the end of this.

**awesome transition, yes?**

Before I set out on this trip I had my own idea of what the North was made up of, moose, mountains, stuff like that. Well, now I think there’s something else that can be added to that list, smokin hot guys. Since I arrived on shore, hot guys seem to be on parade. Okay, maybe I could just be really…excitable at the moment but there is an unusually high number eye candy here. Day one, we couldn’t find anyplace open to eat except for a TGI Fridays so we went there. All the waiters were guys and the majority were ripped, gorgeous ones at that. I hadn’t seen that many toned biceps and well filled t-shirts since I went to the beach in the Caribbean last summer. Maybe as the temperature falls, the hotter the guys become, hmmm, new science experiment? I think so.

Things got even better today. Hot waiters abound at today’s dinner spot as well. One was a tall, swimmer looking guy, slightly scruffy with some shadow on his face. He was so damn cute, he had a little baby faced look to him, innocent but with a smile that made you question just how innocent he was. I sneaked looks at him throughout dinner whenever he passed by which was quite often. Damn, what I would do to see him in a different setting if you know what I mean. Why the fuck am I so horny recently!?

I need more sleep, maybe that’s it.

Ugh, well, the internet here in the lobby of the hotel is absolute rubbish so I’ll wrap this up.

Hope the weather is better wherever you are is better than it is here,

JP

P.S. – Oliver, I sure hope you’re not going to do anything dastardly with such confidential and guarded information. Anyways, I cannot confirm nor deny whatever your guess is. :P

Don't Cry for Me Argentina

I'm not the biggest fan of plays, but if I do get the opportunity to see one, I'll readily go for it. I just got back from seeing a local production of Evita, the story of Eva Peron, wife of Ex-Argentine President Juan Peron who was ousted by revolutionaries before coming back and reclaiming the presidency, and I must say, it was pretty good.

I didn't have the highest expectations for these small theater productions but to my pleasant surprise it was actually really entertaining. The actors all seemed really into their roles and they could actually sing! Eva was played by two women in the end which allowed for some cool mirror-type scenes where two depictions of her could be shown simultaneously. Also, there were a bunch of little kids as well and they were really cute and show great potential for future roles and acting.

One thing must be said though, unlike Broadway productions, people who attend these types of shows aren't your general run of the mill population, instead, they tend to be....older. I swear that the mean age of the audience was in the mid 60s with many higher. One group of teenagers about my age came in and a handful of people came in with their parents like I did (including this really cute XC guy but I won't delve too far into that). The age thing isn't something I'm complaining about, but it's just an observation I made. Another observation, there were a lot of gay guys there lol. Maybe the gays liking theatre and musicals thing has some truth but yeah, they were out there tonight.

There was one distraction however and that would be one of the performers. There was a really, really cute guy (21 y/o according to the program) that was in almost every scene and I swear I spent half my time looking at him rather than paying attention to what was going on. Worse yet (or better lol) in many of the scenes he was wearing this really deep cut shirt that showed off his smooth but defined chest that made me drool. I was sitting in one of the farther back rows too but I still saw everything very clearly, and god that hottie made the play even better, even if he was just part of the ensemble.

Anyways, tomorrow is the World Cup finals and I might watch it but I'm rooting for the Netherlands.

Speaking of soccer, I think I might have found my new sports crush in the form of German soccer player Lukas Podolski. He is H-O-T.

Who are you cheering for this World Cup?

All the best,

JP

Balance

Brains over Beauty, Beauty over Brains, can we find some balance please?

Me and my friend Maria recently had a lengthy discussion over deciding which college she wanted to go to and after a while of talking about courses and the like, the subject turned to the student body. She mentioned that one of her school's student bodies was ranked among the top in terms of physical fitness and overall hotness/attractiveness and jokingly said that may just make her go there. I then retorted that while I love the occasional piece of eye candy myself, I wouldn't want to go to a school where everyone was gorgeous and constantly image obsessed, plus if if I was constantly surrounded by gorgeous guys, I would become desensitized. Heck, the joy of seeing a really hot guy just walk by is like getting a letter from a long lost friend, it's great in small doses but much of the novelty wears off if it happens all the time. She conceded this but then we both had a laugh and decided that it would definately be really tempting.

But what is the ideal mix of beauty and brains?

The perfect mix for me is the nerdy-jockish guy who straddles the brains-beauty line just so. You know, the one who plays football or rows and has the body to match but also wears glasses and is just as at home reading in the library. Unfortunately that's hard to come by, especially in my school where it seems guys fall into one category or the other. My school has its fair share of pretty boys and an equal number of brilliant guys but few that carry the best of both worlds. Maybe it is asking a lot, but sometimes you need to rummage deep to find what you want.

Anyways, I hope life has treated you guys well. Allergies have been killing me recently but a storm recently passed by and that helped somewhat. I wore a pair of shorts for the first time this year which I rarely do. On Wednesday I'll be flying out to Portland, Oregon for a journalism conference (and missing three days of school!) which should be really fun, I haven't gone there since I was 4 so I plan to make the most of this experience. I'll be sharing a room with three other guys including one from crew and we decided we would be working out together each night. I only wish I wouldn't have to get up at 4AM to catch the flight to Portland, I really am not a morning person.

The college decision choice is close to being made and I'll be sure to let you guys know as soon as it's been set in stone, but it seems that I will staying local ;)

Enjoy your week,

JP

Daniel Radcliffe? pff...... give me a Freddie Stroma

So I recently went to see Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince with some of my friends over at Reston Town Center, now if you are form teh NOVA/DC area, you have probably been to, or at least heard of this place. Well anyways, so we had a light dinner, well, half of the group did at Panera first before we went to see the movie, not a bad sized crowd for a Thursday evening. I throughly enjoyed the movie, visually it was spectacular and despite being over two and a half hours, it was very entertaining through and through. But, one thing stood out, at least for me. First, let's backtrack, a while back ago, Daniel Radcliffe was the hottest guy out there, girls flocked to him, but since that has died down, well, I think his wizarding replacement has arrived in the terribly attractive Freddie Stroma. Playing Cormac McLaggen, a quidditch playing hunk tryign to win the heart of fellow key character Hermoine Granger, I literally sat mouth agape after he first appeared on screen. Currently, Stroma is not a very high profile actor, but I believe after this role in the HP series, I expect his popularity to really takeoff. In the mean time, I'll be here, admiring both his acting skills and his stunning good looks.

and also......let's take a look back at his ad campaign spot for Acne Underwear back in 2008, I won't ask about the name of the company....

Who wouldn't enjoy seeing him dance, or at least try to dance? haha. Nice abs, mate.

Prom, Rain, Senior Year Classes and Frustrating Things

Hey, Well it's Thursday and another week is also through. Tomorrow is prom day and pretty much it can be expected for the entire senior class to be out along with probably half the junior class as well. A few of my friends are going this year which is cool. I plan to go to prom next year during my senior year, hopefully I'll have a date by then haha. Anyways, As teh school year is wrapping up final exams and teachers rushing to cram in everything they forgot to teach during the year into the last two weeks of school. Next Saturday is also the day of SAT II's for me, I really just want to get those over with. I'm still conflicte don some classes next year, I can't decide between Calculus AB or BC, honestly my love of math has gone way down since the year began, I used to absolutely love math, now, not so much, partially teh material, mostly the teacher, who has honestly ruined by love of the subject. Also I'm sorta considering taking Hotel management in place of finance next year. It seems like fun and more interesting than finance which will likley be filled with freshmen anyways. Well, I have until mid-June to decide.

Have I mentioned the weather lately? Well It's been raining pretty much every day for about a week and a half now, don't get me wrong, I absoluetly love rain, but I need some vitamin D y'know?Today i stayed after to get soem science honour society hours and I thought I could walk home, then a sudden freak downpour arrived and destroyed any chance of that. I really can't wait until it starts to get colder again, I'm more of an autmn/winter person.

Okay, one of the most frustrating things ever in thsi world, well at least for a gay guy are really sweet, and honestly relly cute straight guys. Yes, I'm going to rant a little, deal with it. Okay, there are two guys at my school, one of them I have a really big crush on and another who is simply so quirkily(?) cute and funny it hurts. Only problem, they're straight, or at least i'm 80% sure they are. So what to do, what to do....Well not much really, it's the unfortuanate dilema i face. In reality, I should let it go and move on, it's not going to really get anywhere in the end, but my other half keeps telling me to hang on and let things run their course, a difficult decision indeed.
